Privacy Policy
Effective Date: December 29, 2024
Kazan Software ("we", "our", or "us") believes your calendar data is private.
Meeting Cue was designed as a "Local-First" application.
This means your meeting details, contacts, and schedules stay on your Mac and are not sent to our
servers.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
To be clear about what stays private:
- No Calendar Data: We do not transmit or store your meeting titles, times, or
attendees on our servers. All calendar processing happens locally on your device using macOS system
permissions.
- No Account Required: Meeting Cue does not have a login system. We do not collect
your email address, name, or phone number.
2. Information We Automatically Collect
We use trusted third-party services to help us understand how the app is used and to fix bugs. This data
is anonymized and cannot be linked to your real identity.
- Usage Analytics (Firebase): We collect anonymous data about feature usage (e.g.,
"Nag Mode enabled", "Purchase Screen viewed") to help us decide what features to build next.
- Crash Reports (Crashlytics): If the app crashes, a technical report is sent to us
automatically so we can fix the bug. This report may include your device type, macOS version, and
the line of code where the crash occurred.
- Device Identifiers: A unique, anonymous identifier is generated for your
installation to help us count active users.
3. Payments
All purchases (e.g., Lifetime Pro) are processed securely by Apple via the Mac App
Store.
- We do not have access to your credit card information or billing address.
- We can see a record of the purchase (e.g., "Product ID: meetingcue_pro_lifetime") associated with an
anonymous ID, but we cannot link this to your personal identity.
4. Data Retention
Since we do not store your personal data or calendar events, there is nothing for us to retain. Anonymous
analytics data is retained by Google Analytics for a standard period (typically 14 months) before being
automatically deleted.
5. Your Rights
Since we do not collect personal data linked to your identity, we generally cannot "delete your account"
because you don't have one. However, if you have specific privacy concerns, you may contact us.
